Cello lessons for all ages and levels

Besides playing and performing, I have years of experience in teaching to all levels, from adults to very young children. My current teaching position is at the Muziekacademie in The Hague.

My main goal as a teacher is to inspire my students with this beautiful instrument. To give them insight in what music means, and the opportunity to translate and communicate their thoughts and feelings through sound.

I started learning cello at the age of 7, after a year of music orientation/theory. This big instrument with his beautiful low sounds, and the ability to play in a group or within a big orchestra, was my biggest motivation to start learning the instrument.

To this day I motivate my students to join ensemble playing, or (amateur) orchestra’s. Besides we focus on how to approach techniques and methods in the private lessons, so you can eventually not only tool your instrument, but enjoy the cello sound you create.
